SYNOPSIS Sabin Alun is a living oral tradition of the Karbis of Assam. The film is an old-new spin on the Ramayana where the animistic point of view of the tribal community gets prominence. Of the hundreds of versions of the Ramayana, Sabin Alun attempts to open up the social and emotional assessment of the community through generations of memory and myth in a contemporary context. |
